A game about AI Slop, powered by AI Slop, and somehow involving Al Gore.
You are on your way to ∞ AI Slop
Thank you for playing Sloppy Al Gore!
This game originated as an April Fool’s joke entirely generated by AI, but I took some time afterward to polish it into whatever this is now. The whole thing still came together very quickly—think on the order of about an hour of real effort on my side, with AI doing the grunt work of generation and iteration.
While generative AI has earned a bad rep in the incremental-gaming community, I truly believe it’s undervalued—especially for hobbyist developers who aren’t in it for profit. AI can empower creativity and let a solo dev build things that’d otherwise be out of reach.
So here’s the ask: don’t let the loudest critics convince you the tool is only for slop. Piling hate on AI mostly lands on solo and hobby devs who use it to ship at all—not on the bad actors you’re actually mad at.
If you even slightly enjoyed what about an hour of effort produced here, imagine what 1,000+ hours with AI in the loop can produce when you spend that time on polish, balance, and making things fun. You don’t have to imagine—I have four games I’ve poured countless hours into for exactly that.
